Rotary District 7500 believed that as an organization built on the premise of people doing good works for others, the Rotary should honor non-Rotarians who have displayed excellence in this pursuit. The Rotary Club of Jackson nominated friend of our club Glenn Sculthorpe, owner of Tilton Body Works, located both in Jackson and Lakewood, NJ.
Glenn, who is a member of the Jackson Kiwanis, is always ready, willing and able to help anybody who needs help--at any time. Whenever our club needs a volunteer, he is the first on line. He volunteers when ever our club has a need, no matter the weather or the time. Even though he is not a member, he is one of us. He also exemplifies Community Service, being a member of the Jackson Scholarship Committee, the Jackson Alumni Committee, as well as the Kiwanis, the Knights of Columbus, and several other service organizations.. he has also committed himself for the last decade to assisting the organizers at the annual Halloween Party for Kids With Cancer, held at the Millstone Elks. For all this and much else not listed, our club felt he was deserving of this award.
